Time to get to work!

NOW HIRING for the 2024 season! We are 6-acre small-scale farm using organic practices (certified naturally grown) to grow produce and flowers. We also raise chickens. We are close to Milwaukee and surrounding suburbs, which is exciting because we really do live in the community we serve. As a result, we try to be accessible and inclusive to all. This is our fifth year farming. We are a partner (husband/wife) team, looking to grow and learn. If you’d like to try out farming, or are looking to do something different, please get in touch!

This farm crew position entails everything under the sun. You’ll do field maintenance such as prepping beds, planting and weeding. For our CSA, you’d help with harvesting (tomatoes, cucumbers, leafy greens, squash, etc), packing, and washing. Chickens will also need a hand with feeding and maintaining their water. Never a dull day and lots of activities to choose from. If there’s anything specific you enjoy, let us know, we want this to be a great experience.

Start and End Dates (flexible) / 2 days a week - preferably Thursdays and Fridays

  • End: end of October

Skills Desired:

Any experience with plants, either at another farm, greenhouse or nursery would be great. If you don’t have this experience, we can teach you, we simply ask that you have a desire to learn. Our CSA bins and Market bins are packed with produce, so we ask that your be able to lift 50lbs and understand proper lifting techniques. We don’t operate with much heavy machinery, so we’re on our feet a lot. Must be able to walk, stand, squat and kneel for extended periods, as well as be okay with physically-intense days. Farming tasks are repetitive, so it’s important that applicants are task-oriented. Enthusiasm, a passion for the outdoors, and desire to jump in and get things done.

Location:

We are located 25 miles (25 minute drive) from Milwaukee. We are nearby to Menomonee Falls, which is accessible via bus (we are willing to pick up from the Menomonee Falls Flyer, note that the bus does not run weekends).
