Time to get to work!

Now hiring for 2026

We are 6-acre small-scale certified organic farm, growing produce and flowers. We also raise chickens. We are close to Milwaukee and surrounding suburbs, which is exciting because we really do live in the community we serve. As a result, we try to be accessible and inclusive to all. This is our sixth year farming. We run a smaller crew-- a mix of full-time folks, us, part time and volunteers.

Farm crew positions entails everything under the sun. You’ll do field maintenance such as prepping beds, planting and weeding. For our CSA, you’d help with harvesting (tomatoes, cucumbers, leafy greens, squash, etc), packing, and washing. Chickens will also need a hand with feeding and maintaining their water. Never a dull day and lots of activities to do!

Start and End Dates:

  • Start: April 1

  • End: November 25

  • We truly rely on our staff, so please apply only if you're able to commit to a full season.

  • Start and end date are not flexible we need assistance the full season

  • Unfortunately we cannot accommodate staff vacations at this time. We rely too heavily on staff to assist during the entire season. If you are planning a week long plus summer vacation, a Worker Share or Volunteer position is more suitable.

Required Skills:

  • Unbothered by mosquitos, rain, hot sun, pollen, etc. Essentially, you need to be prepared and be accommodating to the outdoors (which includes bugs, allergens, etc).

  • Physically fit. You'll be on ladders, moving 50 lbs bins for produce and fertilizer, tearing up landscape fabric, pulling difficult weeds, and quickly moving through the days tasks.

  • Must be able to walk, stand, squat and kneel for extended periods, as well as be okay with physically-intense days. Farming tasks are repetitive, so it’s important that applicants are task-oriented.

  • Ability to push through tough jobs, and do repetitive tasks in uncomfortable positions. Planting and harvesting produce can be awkward if you've never done it before!

  • Good at taking direction, picking up new skills and working in a team.

  • Enthusiasm, a passion for the outdoors, and desire to jump in and get things done.

Other Skills:

Experience with plants and/or flowers, either at another farm, greenhouse or nursery would be great. If you don’t have this experience, we can teach you, we simply ask that you have a desire to learn. We don’t operate with much heavy machinery, so we’re on our feet a lot.

Pay:

Pay is dependent on hour commitment for the season, and experience. Pay ranges between $14-$16/hr for part time (2 days a week). $15-$17 for those working 3-5 days a week. Crew members can select from produce seconds each week too!

Location:

We are located 25 miles (25 minute drive) from Milwaukee.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Before confirming candidates, we require potential employees to pass our Systems + Processes test. You will need to complete this in order to be onboarded. We do this so that folks get an understanding of the farm before their first day.

  • We have a 1 week trial period. During this time, we make sure you like the position and can keep up with the tasks.

  • We ask that employees bring their own rain gear, boots, hats, etc to keep them dry and happy during work hours.
